There was no need for sending funeral cards,
To share my grief with everyone.
When I lost a friend, being near my heart;
They would have thought it overdone.
Cause they couldn’t imagine, what she meant to me.
And I might be guessed to be soft.
I had never dwelled on it, how it would be,
When I once would have to see my baby off.

How I’ve been crying for this broken life,
When I had to let her pass away.
How did it touch me, when I closed her eyes.
And made me crying on for days.

Last time I really saw her getting low,
After being faithful for many years.
And it would bring about a shock to me, knowing,
That her unavoidable end was near.
And I was placed in a dilemma, that I can’t tell;
Had to choose between life and death.
I got guilt feelings, when I caught myself
In thinking of getting another cat.

How I’ve been crying for this broken life,
When I had to let her pass away.
How did it touch me, when I closed her eyes.

Where ever did all those tears derive?
Whatever did she bring about,

That I was entirely put out.
